Process

How each Prismé piece is made in the studio.

Every tray, bowl, plate, and mini is cut, arranged, and fused by hand in small batches. The process is calm and deliberate, with each step planned before the piece enters the kiln.

Step 1

Cutting and preparing the base glass.

Sheets of glass are cut into the base shapes used for trays, bowls, plates, and minis. Each base is sized to match the studio’s molds and firing plans, making sure every piece keeps consistent proportions.

Edges are arranged cleanly so there are no sharp points before the first firing.

Step 2

Building the color story for the glass.

Every color story is made from smaller pieces of colored glass placed by hand. These pieces melt and blend during firing, creating the soft transitions and swirls Prismé is known for.

Placement is intentional so the finished piece lands with a calm, even color distribution.

Step 3

Fusing the piece in the kiln.

Once the base glass and color story are arranged, the piece is fired in the kiln. Heat melts the layers into one surface with smooth edges and a finished structure.

After cooling, the piece is cleaned, checked, and prepared for final packaging or for a second forming fire depending on the shape.

Small batch, studio made.

Each Prismé piece carries small variations that come naturally from hand placement, glass movement in the kiln, and the slow cooling cycle. No two batches are identical.
